![]() The “CHANDRA RATH” is uniquely designed and developed in such a way that it can navigate all type of terrains on the moon surface. The design consists of three parts in which front and the rear part absorbs all the shock keeping the middle part almost stable. The design can also be very useful for developing the most comfortable car. The size of the “CHANDRA RATH” can be reduced to three fifth of its total length in a very less time. It is our great honor that “CHANDRA RATH” is going to participate in the GREAT MOONBUGGY RACE organized by NASA and US space and rocket centre in USA. The purpose of this competition is to build a compact, light, flexible and durable vehicle that would carry astronauts on moon’s surface during Apollo Missions. Team “CHANDRA RATH” is going to be the first entry from Asia to participate in this prestigious competition. The vehicle is supposed to be human powered and later on will be converted into solar powered and hybrid vehicle capable of traversing all kinds of terrains. The track which is designed by NASA and U.S Space and Rocket center will consist of seven tenth of a mile of lunar surface composed of craters, rocks, lava, inclines and “lunar” soil. Every part of the vehicle has been indigenously designed and built with utmost care.
Team members have won many accolades in the past including the BEST TECHNOLOGY AWARD and BEST DESIGN. Under our esteemed Faculty Advisor’s guidance DCE student team won the MOST INNOVATIVE DESIGN award at Georgia Tech. University, U.S. The Team hopes to bring Pride and Honor to the College and The Country. Faculty Advisor:
